Goal: DIREKTION aims to improve the efficiency and resilience of emergency services during disasters. The project focuses on identifying capability gaps and evaluating innovative technologies to support rescue services. An essential part of the project is the promotion of dialog and knowledge exchange between practitioners, researchers and policy makers to develop practical solutions.
To increase disaster resilience, DIREKTION is developing frameworks and tools that enable a comprehensive needs assessment. These tools help to identify and close gaps in current disaster management systems. In addition, the project promotes the introduction of new technologies that are specifically tailored to the needs of emergency services.
Another goal of DIREKTION is to create a sustainable platform that will support safety research and innovation in the long term. This platform will serve as a central point of contact for all actors in the field of disaster management and facilitate the exchange of knowledge and best practices.
Through this comprehensive and integrative approach, DIREKTION aims to help improve the resilience and efficiency of emergency services and increase the safety of the population in various disaster scenarios. In the long term, the aim is to create a sustainable platform that supports and strengthens safety research and innovation in the field of disaster management.
