About us

The Fraunhofer Institute for Technological Trend Analysis INT offers scientifically-based judgment and consulting across the full spectrum of technological developments and their interactions with social and economic issues. Based on this, the institute conducts technology-oriented innovation research, enabling long-term strategic research planning. This expertise is implemented in customized projects for our clients.

 

Competencies and Research

In addition to technology analysis and innovation research, Fraunhofer INT conducts its own experimental and theoretical research on the effects of ionizing and electromagnetic radiation on electronic components and systems, as well as radiation detection. Our equipment includes state-of-the-art measurement technology, including radiation sources, electromagnetic simulation facilities, and detector systems, which are uniquely combined in Germany.

 

Partnerships and Clients

For 50 years, Fraunhofer INT has been a reliable partner for the Federal Ministry of Defense, advising it in close collaboration. We conduct research projects in the fields of technology analysis, strategic planning, and radiation effects. Additionally, Fraunhofer INT successfully researches and consults for other civilian public clients and companies, both nationally and internationally, from medium-sized enterprises to DAX corporations.
